Hepatology Centre

As a hepatologist, Dr Kieron Lim manages a range of conditions affecting the liver, including liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, and its complications, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and liver cancer. Hepatology care may involve medical management, monitoring of liver function, and assessment of disease progression using diagnostic tools such as imaging and liver stiffness measurement. Evaluation may also include non-invasive tests such as FibroScan (transient elastography), which can help assess liver scarring and guide treatment planning.

Dr Kieron Lim currently serves as the Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He graduated from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine (UK), and underwent fellowship training in liver disease and transplantation at Mount Sinai, New York (USA). Dr Lim was formerly the Medical Director for Liver Transplantation at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation.

Gastroenterologist

As a gastroenterologist, Dr Kieron Lim manages a wide range of conditions affecting the digestive system, including disorders of the oesophagus, stomach, colon, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. His clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of conditions such as liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers. Gastroenterology care involves both non-surgical and procedural approaches to address digestive symptoms, chronic liver disease, and abnormalities detected through screening or imaging.

Patients can expect clear counselling on their diagnosis, available investigations, and treatment options, including the role of endoscopic procedures where appropriate. Where procedures such as endoscopy or colonoscopy are considered, the consultation typically includes discussion of the purpose of the procedure, potential findings, and follow-up care, including monitoring, lifestyle modifications, and ongoing management of digestive or liver-related conditions.
